About
Dan Antopolski is an award winning comedian and one third of the critically acclaimed sketch group Jigsaw (with Tom Craine and Nat Luurtsema). After sell-out runs at the 2011 and 2012 Edinburgh Fringe, Jigsaw continued a meteoric year, becoming series regulars on Live At The Electric Series One (BBC3), and headlining Sketchorama (BBC Radio 4). Dan is now a regular face on CBBC, playing the central character in The Dare Devil, due to return for a second series later this year. He has also filmed a cameo on the much loved Hackertime.
As a stand-up comedian Dan has built himself a reputation for being one of the most inventive, intelligent, edgy and unusual comics to emerge in the UK, with his innovative one-man shows being recognised for creatively pushing the comedy boundaries. He garnered Perrier Award nominations at the Edinburgh Festival for his own show and as part of Lee Mack's Show. He was also nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award and has won the BBC New Comedy Award.
Dan has impressed audiences at the biggest international comedy festivals, with appearances at Montreal, Melbourne and New York. A regular performer at Edinburgh International Fringe festival Dan won the Dave Best Joke Award in 2009
As a comic actor, Dan has starred as Jeffers in two series of the cult BBC Two sci-fi spoof Hyperdrive. His other TV credits include The Stand-Up Show (BBC One), The Live Floor Show (BBC Two), The Perrier Awards (Channel 4), Time Gentlemen Please (Sky One) and The World Comedy Series (Paramount Comedy channel/Comedy Central).
Dan has also appeared in the international blockbuster movie, The Da Vinci Code.
On radio Dan has been a regular contributor to Out To Lunch on BBC Radio 2 and also on Radio 1’s The Milk Run.
