Chortle Award winning Ed Gamble is stand up comedian who began his career writing, performing and co-directing for the Durham Revue in 2004. He is currently filming the lead role in a new seven-part comedy series for BBC America named Almost Royal.
Ed has provided national tour support for Greg Davies' shows Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog and The Back of My Mum's Head, as well as for Russell Kane and Chris Addison.
He has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News, performing as both a solo stand up and as part of Peacock and Gamble on series five. Ed Gamble and Ray Peacock are the only acts to make a return appearance on Good News. He has also performed on Dave's One Night Stand and has written for Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week and Ask Rhod Gilbert.
For four years, Ed was co-writer and host of the Peacock and Gamble Podcast. Several series of this cult podcast have culminated with special, series finale live audience recordings. The duo also received a Chortle Award Nomination for the Peacock and Gamble Podcast.
With Peacock & Gamble, Ed has presented shows for BBC Radio 4 Extra's The Comedy Club and has appeared as a regular host, alongside Ray Peacock on the show. The duo also starred in Warm Up for BBC Comedy Online. They are currently touring with their 2013 Edinburgh show Peacock and Gamble Heart-Throbs and Ed is preparing for his 2014 solo Edinburgh show.
