About

Rising star Ed Gamble has come a long way since the final of the Revels Student Comedy Awards at Edinburgh 2007.

A finalist in The Laughing Horse Big, Big, Big New Act Competition (2007), Ed is co-writer and host of the Chortle sponsored Peacock And Gamble Podcast. Available on iTunes, several series of this cult podcast have culminated with special, series finale live audience recordings.

2011 has seen Ed continue his national tour support of Greg Davies' Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog, and tour support for Russell Kane's Manscaping tour. He has also returned to the Edinburgh Festival with The Peacock & Gamble Emergency Broadcast & Podcast.

Previously Ed appeared on Russell Howard's Good News Series 3 Extra, and is currently about to film a standup spot on Series 5 as well as other up and coming projects.

Ed has written, performed and directed with the Durham Revue since 2004, and in 2008 co-wrote and directed Devils, Cambridge Footlights' Edinburgh Festival show.

Following the success of Ed’s Cool Fun Comedy Night in Durham, Ed took the show to The Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008 and 2009.

In addition, Edinburgh 2009 saw Ed appear as part of the Comedy Zone - the Fringe’s longest-running and most prestigious stand-up showcase, as well as perform at Frank Skinner’s Credit Crunch Cabaret.
