Following a five-year residency at The Other Side in York, Dan Atkinson debuted in at the Edinburgh Festival as part of the 2006 Comedy Zone.

Dan returned to Edinburgh in 2007 with his debut solo show 'Dan Atkinson Knows That He Knows Nothing', a combination of sharply realized observations and off the cuff improvised comments; this was a show which reeled audiences in, proving to be one of the most successful debut shows of the 2007 Edinburgh festival.

Dan has gone on to perform on the Edinburgh and Beyond 07 live tour and has made a number of TV appearances including the acclaimed CH4 series Law of the Playground and BBC3's Bodyhits series.

Dan is taking a new show to the 2008 Edinburgh Festival and will subsequently compere the national Edinburgh and Beyond live tour in association with the Paramount Comedy Channel.
