Karl Minns first burst onto the national comedy scene in 1997 as the writer and co-star of the The Nimmo Twins in their debut Edinburgh Festival show, Posh Spice Nude. Their mix of intricate word play and well-crafted sketches earned them sell-out audiences and three appearances on BBC One's The Stand Up Show - the first sketch group ever to do so. Alongside numerous appearances at The Edinburgh Festival Karl has also developed his hugely successful Norwich Based sketch / panto show Normal for Norfolk. As its' writer, director & star he has seen the show grow from a room above a pub ten years ago to selling out 16 consecutive nights at the Norwich Playhouse at Christmas in 2005. .

Karl went on to become a regular on BBC Radio 4 including writing and appearing on their own show The Nimmo Twins. In 2001 he tried his hand at stand-up and went on to win the prestigious Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award.
