OWEN POWELL is a two-time Perrier Best Newcomer Award-nominee for his work as a director on ALEX HORNE's Making Fish Laugh (2003) and THE CAMBRIDGE FOOTLIGHTS' Far Too Happy (2001). OWEN directed COLIN & FERGUS' Writers' Guild Award-winning Edinburgh debut in 2004, and went on to direct their critically-acclaimed 2005 sequel. An Edinburgh regular since 2001, OWEN has worked as a director on a total of nine Fringe Festival shows.
A well-known figure on the London sketch scene, OWEN directs ‘Something For The Weekend', a monthly sketch night at the Soho Revue Bar. He has worked with JULIAN FOX, PAUL FOOT and RUSSELL KANE, and has planned and appeared in all of MARK WATSON's famous long shows in recent Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
