The undisputed, sporadically-acclaimed comedian ANDY ZALTZMAN (star of The Bugle podcast and Radio 4’s Political Animal) returns to BBC Radio 4 with his decade-by-decade comic analysis of the Third Millennium. Starting on 10th December, the four-part series will cover the 2000 - 2009 period of what is already shaping up to be a troubled thousand years… Each week Andy will apply his signature mix of stand-up, sketches, facts and blatant lies to the big topics of our most recent one-tenth of a century, taking on World Politics, Global Economy, Britain, and Planet Earth.

The new series features the voices of RORY BREMNER (Bremner, Bird and Fortune, Channel 4), BRIDGET CHRISTIE (The Omid Djalili Show, BBC ONE), LUCY MONTGOMERY (Titty Bang Bang, BBC THREE), and KIM WALL (Al Murray’s Multiple Personality Disorder, ITV1).

ANDY ZALTZMAN’S recent credits include: writing and hosting BBC Radio 5Live’s Yes! It’s The Ashes; appearing on The Now Show, Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive and The News Quiz (all BBC Radio 4) and The Late Edition (BBC FOUR); as well as writing for Channel 4’s Bremner Bird and Fortune. With JOHN OLIVER, ANDY co writes and hosts The Bugle; an ongoing series of satirical news podcasts, in association with The Times and has recently written for and performed on JOHN’S one hour Comedy Central stand up special Terrifying Times. ANDY is also the author of Does Anything Eat Bankers?, a satirical take on the credit crunch.
