BAFTA-winning stand-up LEE MACK, writer and star of BBC ONE’S hugely popular primetime sitcom Not Going Out (Royal Television Society and Golden Rose award-winner), has extended his brand new stand-up tour due to massive demand by an additional 23 dates, including two further nights at the London Hammersmith Apollo - taking the national run to 96 shows, totalling in excess of 170,000 tickets. Originally due to end this May, it will now run into November 2010.
In addition to his critically acclaimed live work, award-winning writer and performer LEE is probably best known to television audiences for his starring role in BBC ONE’S hit sitcom Not Going Out. As well as a resident team captain on Would I Lie To You? (BBC ONE), LEE’S credits also include; guest host on Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE) and a key writer and performer in the BAFTA Award winning The Sketch Show (ITV1), which ran for two series in the UK before LEE went on to work alongside KELSEY GRAMMER in an American version of the show. He has also written and starred in his Sony Radio Award nominated The Lee Mack Show (BBC Radio 2); hosted They Think It’s All Over (BBC ONE); and headlined and hosted Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE). Series 2 of Not Going Out was released on DVD earlier this year by Universal. An award-winning stand-up, LEE'S last tour was a sell-out, nominated for a British Comedy Award, recorded for release on DVD, and subsequently broadcast on Channel 4 last autumn and swiftly repeated in February of this year. A nominee for the prestigious Perrier Award, LEE has also won a Time Out Best Live Comedy Award and in 2005, the Best Stand-Up award at the Loaded LAFTAS.

What the press has said about the tour so far
“Mack is a gag-master of the old school, the twist being that he comes at everything in such a fast, often furious manner that he feels utterly modern. His jokes have the brevity of telegrams. His delivery achieves the mind-blowing quickness of broadband. That whirlwind instability serves to give him a distinctive and treasurable stage personality. Mack is his own man. And, with shows this good, the coming decade should finally see him established as one of British comedy’s greats.”

Dominic Cavendish, Daily Telegraph
“Mack powers out the absurdities with such accuracy and pace you’re never ahead of him…this is stand-up comedy at its most propulsive and persuasive.” * * * *
