HARRY HILL'S FIRST EVER COMEDY ALBUM - FUNNY TIMES - RELEASED 22ND NOVEMBER

Multi BAFTA-winning comedian HARRY HILL will release his first ever album of comedy songs, Funny Times, on Island Records on 22nd November.

Harking back to the great tradition of albums by comedy icons including MONTY PYTHON, BENNY HILL and THE GOODIES, HARRY’s musical debut features collaborations with greats including BACH, CHOPIN and BRUCE FORSYTH, plus guest appearances by Coronation Street’s BILL ROACHE, and MARTIN FRY of ABC.

This deranged musical odyssey captures HARRY’s inimitable comic take on modern Britain in sonic form, taking in dizzyingly diverse influences - from ENNIO MORRICONE on the Spaghetti Western inspired paean to Ken Barlow, ‘Ken!’, to STARS ON 45 on ‘Flat Screen TV’, a whistle-stop tour round the biggest shows on the box. The first single will be ‘I Wanna Baby’, and other highlights include the Calypso-infused ‘Subo’ and HARRY’s duet with BRUCE FORSYTH on the PAUL ANKA and SAMMY DAVIS JR classic ‘I’m Not Anyone’.

Fans can also enjoy: a unique take on CHOPIN’s Nocturne in E Minor on ‘Nuggets Nocturne’; Spitting Image impressionist STEVE NALLON voicing Margaret Thatcher in ‘Big Mag’; ABC’s MARTIN FRY singing on BACHARACH & DAVID’s ‘This Guy’s In Love With You’; and a wind-up call to an automated phoneline accompanied by BACH on ‘Safe As Sheep’.
