GREG DAVIES, star of BAFTA-winning show The Inbetweeners, has extended his Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated stand-up show Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog by a further 52 dates, bringing the total number of shows to 93. The sell-out tour has been extended throughout the first half of next year from the 14th January until 24th June 2011.
GREG DAVIES is soon to star in The Inbetweeners film, reprising his role as Mr. Gilbert. He performed on the most recent series of Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE), as a guest on Have I Got News for You (BBC ONE) and a regular panellist on Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC ONE). This year GREG has been nominated for The Times Breakthrough Award at the South Bank Show Awards 2011.
GREG is one third of Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated sketch group WE ARE KLANG, with fellow comedians STEVE HALL and MAREK LARWOOD. The trio made their eponymous debut sit-com series of the same name for BBC THREE last summer. They have performed four critically-acclaimed sell-out Edinburgh shows. In addition to their 2006 Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination, they were nominated for the prestigious Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2007.
In 2011 GREG DAVIES is set to appear on BBC TWO’s brand new improvisation comedy show Fast and Loose, as well as headlining Dave’s One Night Stand where he will be performing stand-up in his hometown. Other appearances include; 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Mock The Week (BBC TWO) and Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC TWO).

PRAISE FOR FIRING CHEESEBALLS AT A DOG:
Best of the Year 2010
Time Out
Top 10 Comics of 2010
The Sun
“A man destined for greatness.”
Time Out
“Uplifting, enjoyable and - most of all - extremely funny”
The Sun
“A massively impressive debut show from the massively tall comedian.”
The Times
“Davies weaves a magnificent web. Fact or fiction, he sells the whole show, frequently leaving you helpless with laughter.”
The Independent
“A hilarious but touching résumé of his life so far … a wonderfully feel good show that demands repeated viewings.”
The Sunday Telegraph
“Greg Davies doesn't look like he'll be struggling for work. Not only is he part of a cult sitcom success thanks to his role as sadistic head of sixth form Mr Gilbert in Channel 4's The Inbetweeners, but his Edinburgh fringe show has also one of this year's most talked-about. Eschewing any grand themes or narrative arcs, Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog is an hour of deliberately unconnected autobiographical stories. Davies says that he's often felt his life has been free of consequence or meaning, so he's structured his show in the same way, allowing each bizarre episode to speak for itself. It's a genius move, helping us to focus on the comic's eye for weird detail and infectious, energetic storytelling style.”
The Guardian
“His show revels in the joy of spontaneous foolishness ... boisterous, sometimes fruity, but always in a carefree spirit of enjoying the moment, assuming no consequences. In such an atmosphere, laughter thrives, and this show produces guffaws like few others.”
Mail on Sunday
“It’s an engaging, oddly touching hour.”
Daily Telegraph
“A well-developed and magnetic set.”
The List
“For all his protestations, there is actually a message here - and it’s the very simple one of savouring every moment that makes you happy, however stupid. This ultimate feelgood show is so jam-packed with such moments, you’d be a fool to miss it.”
Chortle
“Davies is one of those people who infect you with their energy… I can give no higher praise than to say that this is a show I didn’t want to end, and which I wanted to see again immediately it did.”
The Arts Desk
“This is a startlingly accomplished debut that scores big on the all important, instinctive, belly laugh-o-meter.”
