Al Murray - The Pub Landlord’s Beautiful British Tour has been extended by an additional 29 dates - taking the national run to over 80 shows, totalling in excess of 220,000 tickets. This is the third time the tour has been extended in the face of overwhelming demand. Originally due to end this May, it will now run into November 2009.
THE PUB LANDLORD is currently performing the show in the country’s biggest indoor arenas (including Nottingham’s Arena and Liverpool’s Echo Arena). Over the next three weeks he will play to over 100,000 people across just 18 dates, culminating in a two-night run at the O2 on 8th and 9th May. This arena-tour was added in March, as part of the second extension.
Following on from a prolific two years for THE GUV - which has included recording three series of the British Comedy Award-winning Al Murray’s Happy Hour (ITV1), headlining Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE) and hosting a second Audience With (ITV1) - this latest extension marks the start of a busy autumn, which will also see him: release a brand new live DVD, adding to an already extensive portfolio of stand-up titles that includes Al Murray Live at the London Palladium (over 200,000 copies sold to date); and launch a follow-up to his Richard and Judy Book Club-winning The Pub Landlord’s Book of British Common Sense, which last winter spent 12 weeks in The Sunday Times Bestsellers top ten paperback chart.

What the press has said about Al Murray - The Pub Landlord’s Beautiful British Tour:
"Yes, after 15 years as the Little Englander loudmouth, Al Murray is still playing his part with as much aplomb as any comedian currently working. And, for much of this enjoyably unacceptable two-hour set, he's beyond reproach. The way he integrates the crowd into the show is awe-inspiring."
Dominic Maxwell, The Times
"After 15 years of refining his act, it's now in peak satirical condition. The Pub Landlord can pick out targets for his blinkered, chauvinist ire with the finesse of a master marksman… Few other acts reach quite so comfortably inside the confused, wounded mindset of the modern Brit. As our economy founders, here's one national treasure to cherish."
Dominic Cavendish, Daily Telegraph
