Frank Skinner stars as Shane, a wise-cracking middle-aged minicab driver who is beginning to confront some pertinent home-truths: in the solace of The Four Feathers pub, shouldered by old mate Bazza and barmaid Sheila, Shane attempts to come to term with the fact his wife Myrtle is developing a thirst for knowledge via the Open University, his 16-year-old daughter a taste for students in trilbys and his 11-year-old boy who has an unnerving ability to out-wit his own.
