Russell Howard’s Good News, BBC Three’s most successful entertainment series, returns for an eighth series this spring. Since the show debuted in 2009, cumulative ratings have grown from 1.7 million to over 5 million a week, including BBC iPlayer, on which Russell Howard’s Good News is regularly the most watched show across all BBC channels.

Each week, multi-award winning comedian, Russell Howard offers up an energetic look at global goings-on and finds his own uniquely upbeat angle on the news, from over 60 International news channels, 140 newspapers from around the world and over a thousand new clips. He and his crack team will leave no stone left unturned in their pursuit of the weird and wonderful stories that have been dominating the media in the past seven days.

The series is filmed live in front of a studio audience and viewers at home can shape the show’s agenda by submitting news stories online via Twitter @bbcgoodnews.
