Compete for the Meat is a comedy quiz show with a difference; it's the only televised meat-based quiz show in the world. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the host, THE PUB LANDLORD, plays quiz master as members of the public, who have travelled the length and breadth of the country, vie for the ultimate TV star prize...a frozen chicken (sausages for the runners up). Assisted by a glamorous assistant and show mascot Mr Giblets, The Pub Landlord will push four teams of three to their mental, and sometimes physical, limits with a pub quiz showdown including rounds on general knowledge, a special challenge and a quick-fire finale, which offers a last ditch attempt to get some points on the scoreboard in Meal Or No Meal'. If the teams are no good, they can be branded Thick and Slow', banished to the Sin Bin or have their team replaced by members of the studio audience selected at random by the host.

Based on the critically acclaimed live show from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in the UK Compete for the Meat is presented by multi-award-winning comic AL MURRAY and directed by Brian Klein (Top Gear) for Avalon Television.
